Daniel Mesguich

Daniel Mesguich (born July 15, 1952 in Algiers ) is a French actor , film, theater and opera director .

On the recommendation of Marie-France Pisier , Daniel Mesguich, who had previously made a name for himself in the theater, received a role from François Truffaut in his film Love on the Run in 1978 . In the same year he received the main male role of Napoléon Bonaparte in the TV series Joséphine . Since then he has performed with Romy Schneider in Die Bankiersfrau and with Isabelle Adjani in quartet . He did not make his breakthrough as a film star, but he was considered a theater star in France. His last major film roles include Lieutenant Coudein in The Raft of Medusa in 1998 and the King as partner of Catherine Deneuve in the Hollywood spectacle The Musketeer ( 2001 ).

Mesguich was director of the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris from 2007 to 2013 .
