Daniel Osorno

Daniel Osorno Calvillo (born March 16, 1979 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player . The striker is currently under contract with the Mexican first division club Puebla FC .

Career

Osorno's professional career began in the winter of 1997. On January 11, 1997, he made his debut in the Primera División in the league game against UAG Tecos . After a short time, Osorno was one of the top performers. He remained loyal to the club for seven years. However, due to persistent form weakness - especially last year - and several injuries, Atlas decided to borrow the striker. So Osorno moved for the 2003/04 season to league rivals CF Monterrey , but could only achieve two goals in 28 games there. For the next season he returned to the CFA . After 3 seasons (2004-2007) he moved in 2007 to the US club Kansas City Wizards . After a year stint in the USA he went back to Mexico at the beginning of " Clausura " in 2008 to play for the Dorados . He has been playing for Puebla FC since Clausura 2009 .

National team

In 1999 Osorno was appointed to the Mexican U-20. He denied five goals and scored two. The A national team quickly became aware of him. In the same year he played his first international game for the A-Team Mexico . Osorno took part in the Copa America in Paraguay in 1999 , in Colombia in 2001 , in Peru in 2004 and in the Gold Cup in 2003 and 2005. He was also in the squad for the Confederations Cup in Mexico in 1999 and in Japan and South Korea in 2001 .

So far he has played 73 games and scored 12 goals.
