Daniel Ross

Daniel Roß (born July 5, 1840 in Hamburg ; † April 30, 1899 there ) was a Hamburg merchant and member of parliament .

Life

Roß was the son of the Hamburg businessman Edgar Daniel Roß , he did an apprenticeship at the company Ross Vidal & Co. , which he joined as a partner in January 1864. After the death of his father, the company was liquidated in December 1885.

In 1873 Roß was elected to the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce , which he headed as President in 1878. From 1874 to 1878, Roß was a member of the Hamburg citizenship , sent by the Chamber of Commerce . After the citizenry had elected him to the finance deputation, he was from 1878 to 1880 a member of the Hamburg citizenship sent by the finance deputation.
