Daniel Rupf (born March 21, 1986 in Stollberg ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Rupf began his career in his hometown club FC Glückauf Stollberg (now FC Stollberg ). In 1996 he moved to the youth team of FC Erzgebirge Aue .

For the 2006/07 season he moved up to the 1st team in the 2nd Bundesliga and was used four times during that season. After another year in Aue with only one assignment, he moved to FC Sachsen Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nord at the beginning of the 2008/09 season . In the summer of 2009 he joined the league competitor VFC Plauen . After playing as team captain for VFC Plauen in 116 games since 2009 , he announced his departure from Plauen. On June 13, 2014, he finally signed a two-year contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena . After only one year, Rupf went to Budissa Bautzen . During the winter break of the 2015/16 season, he dissolved his contract in Bautzen again and switched to league rivals VfB Auerbach . For the 2017/2018 season Rupf returned to VFC Plauen in the Oberliga NOFV-Süd . In January 2018 he ended his active career and is now training the VFC Plauen's top division team.
