Daniel Scholten

Daniel Scholten (* 1973 ) is a German - Icelandic writer .

Life

Reading Daniel Scholten

After completing school and an apprenticeship, Scholten worked as a typographer in Scandinavia for a few years . He then studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich a . a. Egyptology and historical linguistics . He specialized in the language and literature of ancient Egypt.

Scholten also deals with Scandinavian literature (mostly Icelandic and Swedish) and publishes two literary magazines for it .

At the same time, the crime novels about his protagonist Commissioner Cederström were created from 2007 onwards .

Since January 1, 2010, Scholten has been publishing the video podcast Belles Lettres . He deals with linguistics and style and would like to enable the viewer to make their own judgment about various elements of the German language.

Currently (2012) Scholten lives alternately in Stockholm and in Munich .
