Daniel Tybussek

Daniel Tybussek (born June 13, 1977 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German local politician ( SPD ) and has been Mayor of Mühlheim am Main since July 1, 2011 .

education and profession

Tybussek grew up in the Markwald in Mühlheim and attended the Markwald School in Mühlheim from 1983 to 1987. From 1987 to 1996 he attended the Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium in Mühlheim, where he graduated from high school . He then completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Sparkasse Langen-Seligenstadt from 1996 to 1998 . Tybussek now worked for a Frankfurt bank. In 2009 he received his degree in business administration from the Fernuniversität Hagen .

Tybussek is married and has three sons. He is a member of the Ver.di union .

Political career

Tybussek has been a member of the SPD since 2005 and has been a cashier in the SPD local association since 2007. Since 2006 he has been a member of the city council. There he is a member of the main and finance committee. In February 2010 he was nominated for mayoral candidate of the SPD. In the elections in January 2011 he was able to prevail with 59.2% to 40.8% against the incumbent Bernd Müller (CDU). On March 12, 2017, he was confirmed in office for another six years in the mayoral election with a majority of 72.55% of the votes against the independent candidate Gudrun Month.
