Daniel Jaroslav Karel Tyrkas (born June 16, 1975 in Erlangen ) is a former German snowboarder in the halfpipe discipline .

Daniel Tyrkas made his international debut in December 1997 in FIS races , in 2000 he debuted in Tignes in the Snowboard World Cup and was the 61st, the first points he won a month later than the 13th in Plan de Corones . This was followed by participation in the 2001 World Snowboard Championships in Madonna di Campiglio , where he was 54th. In 2002 he achieved a single-digit position for the first time in sixth place in Arosa , a little later in the last pre-Olympic race he missed the podium by just one place in fourth. At the 2002 Olympic Winter Games of Salt Lake City finished Tyrkas 32nd place. After the season he ended his career.
