Daniels Pavluts

Daniels Pavļuts (born May 14, 1976 in Jūrmala , then Latvian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Latvian politician of the Kustība Par! .

Life

Pavluts studied at the Latvian Music Academy Jāzeps Vītols and at Harvard University . He became bank director of Swedbank AS in Riga. From 2003 to 2006 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture of Latvia.

In Dombrovskis III's cabinet , Pavluts was the successor to Artis Kampars from October 25, 2011 to January 22, 2014 Minister of Economics of Latvia. From January 2014 he was a member of the Reformu partija . In August 2017 he founded the liberal party Kustība Par! ("Movement For!"). This occurred in the parliamentary elections in 2018 in the electoral alliance attīstībai / Par! on. Pavluts succeeded for this, as one of 13 deputies, the entry into parliament ( Saeima ).
