Kustība Par! (German “Movement For!”, Par for short ) is a liberal and pro-European party of the political center in Latvia .

history

The party was founded in August 2017 by Daniels Pavļuts , who had previously served as Minister of Economic Affairs in Dombrovski's government from 2011-14 as a representative of the Reformu partija . Five MPs who had left the Vienotība - Lolita Čigāne , Ints Dālderis , Andrejs Judins , Aleksejs Loskutovs and Ilze Viņķele - joined Par. Except for Viņķele, they left the party after a few months. For this, the party won in June 2018 with Artis Pabriks (former Foreign and Defense Minister of Latvia) another MEP who also transferred from Vienotība to Par.

For the parliamentary elections in October 2018 , Par formed an alliance with the parties Latvijas attīstībai and Izaugsme , which also have a liberal and pro-European orientation. The alliance came under the name Attīstībai / Par! on, the top candidate was Artis Pabriks . Attīstībai / Par! Together they won 12.1% of the vote and 13 of the 100 seats in the Saeima .
