Progresívne Slovensko ( PS , German Progressive Slovakia or Progressive Slovakia ) is a left-liberal and progressive Slovak movement founded in 2017 . The party leader is Michal Truban .

The party has a member of the National Council , Martin Poliačik , who joined the party shortly after leaving Sloboda a Solidarita (Freedom and Solidarity; SaS for short). In local politics, the party is represented in the Slovak capital, Bratislava , by Mayor Matúš Vallo .

The first deputy chairman was the lawyer Zuzana Čaputová . She was elected Slovakia's first female president in the 2019 presidential election. After the announcement of the election results, she resigned as deputy chairman of the movement and announced that she would also suspend membership.

In the 2019 European elections in Slovakia , in which the party ran in a coalition with the SPOLU - občianska demokracia party , the PS won 2 seats with Michal Šimečka and Martin Hojsík , 2 of which went to SPOLU.

In the 2020 National Council election , the party, together with its alliance partner Spolu, just failed to meet the 7 percent hurdle that applies to electoral alliances.
