Danilo Turcios , full name Danilo Elvis Turcios Funez , (born May 8, 1978 in Sonaguera ) is a Honduran football player who is used in the position of midfielder .

Career

society

In 2001 he was a player for Deportivo Maldonado . In 2002 he was in the ranks of the Uruguayan first division club Defensor Sporting . That year, he is said to have played 34 games in the Primera División and scored four goals. In the 2003 season he completed 13 first division games for Club Atlético Peñarol . In the middle of 2003 he switched to UAG Tecos on loan from the "Aurinegros" to Mexico . Other employers were the Honduran first division club Olimpia Tegucigalpa , CSD Comunicaciones , the Atlanta Silverbacks , Real Sociedad Tocoa and Jaguares UPNFM Tegucigalpa .

National team

After Honduras qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , Danilo Elvis Turcios, who played for the senior national team in his home country for the first time in 1999, was nominated by national coach Reinaldo Rueda in the 23-man squad for the World Cup finals. He made his World Cup debut in the group meeting against eventual world champions Spain . Danilo Turcios played 63 minutes. Honduras lost the game 2-0.
