Dannenberg ( Low German Dannenbarg ) is a district of the Grasberg community in the Osterholz district in Lower Saxony .

history

Dannenberg was founded under the name Danneberg in 1781 as part of the moor colonization of the Teufelsmoor . At the end of the 1780s, the place had twelve households in four houses and two huts with 14 adults and 16 children and thus a total of 30 residents. In 1910 there were 244 inhabitants.

The place was merged on March 1, 1974 as part of the regional reform with other places to the municipality Grasberg.
