Wörpedorf ( Low German Wörpdörp ) is a village in the municipality Grasberg in Osterholz in Lower Saxony .

history

Wörpedorf was founded as the first bog colony on the Teufelsmoor in 1751 with 51 farms. In the 1780s, 100 adults and 142 children and thus 242 inhabitants were counted. In 1910 the place had 650 inhabitants.

The place was merged on March 1, 1974 as part of the regional reform with other places to the municipality Grasberg.
