Life

2006–2008: beginnings and first successes

Saucedo applied for the Swedish version of DSDS in 2006 , where he reached sixth place. The single Öppna din dörr recorded at this time reached the Swedish single charts despite his departure. There the single came in 22nd place.

Saucedo has been under contract with the Swedish record label SME since the beginning of 2007. His second single Tokyo reached the top of the Swedish charts and was in the charts for 33 weeks. His third single, Play it for the Girls , became the artist's second number one single. Due to the success of the last singles, Saucedo released his debut album Heart Beats in May 2007 , which also reached number one. From 2007 Saucedo was a member of the boy band EMD

At the end of 2008, the first single from his second album, Radio, was released. Stylistically, the song differed from the previous singles. The move away from the commercially successful boy band pop to the more electro- heavy dance pop was not only positively received. Radio reached number 1, but the album Set Your Body Free , which was released in December 2008, could not build on the success of Heart Beats . The album reached number 2 in the album charts and was only able to stay in the charts for five weeks.

2009–2012: In the Club and participation in Melodifestivalen

In 2009 Saucedo appeared within the band EMD at the Melodifestivalen, the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . There they took third place. The following year the band broke up. In 2011 Saucedo took part again in the Melodifestival, this time as a solo singer. Acted as a favorite, he reached the finals with the dance song In the Club . There he had to admit defeat to Eric Saade and reached second place. With the appearance, commercial success also seemed to be back. The single came in second and the album of the same name came in third. It was able to stay in the charts for a total of 21 weeks.

Also in 2012 Saucedo took part in the Melodifestivalen. With the dance / dubstep song Amazing he reached second place again. The single also came in second in the singles charts. Other releases this year were Shake That Ass (with Lazee ), I Can See Myself in You (with Tommy Körberg ), All in My Head and Delirious .

From 2013

In 2013 Saucedo presented the Melodifestivalen 2013 together with Gina Dirawi . In April the single Todo el mundo (Dancing in the Streets) was released . Saucedo describes this as the first step in his future musical direction, in which he wants to combine English and Spanish texts (" Spanglish ").

Private

Saucedo had had a second home in Los Angeles since 2013 . On February 11, 2013 it was officially announced that he was dating the Swedish singer Molly Sandén . In March 2019, they announced their split.
