Danny Silva (born July 24, 1973 in Perth Amboy , United States ) is a Portuguese cross-country skier and biathlete .

Danny Silva is an English teacher and lives in Almeirim . He contested his first FIS race in January 2004 in Candanchú with a cross-country sprint. After further assignments, he had his first assignment at a Nordic World Ski Championships the following year in Oberstdorf . In the race over 15 kilometers freestyle he was 119th, 88th in the sprint and in the 50 kilometer race he did not finish. At the 2006 Olympic Winter Games of Turin Silva competed in the cross country competitions of Pragelato plan in the race over 15 km in classical style and became 93. He was the only starter Portugal at these Olympics and the first Portuguese participants since 1998 . The next major event was the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo . In the sprint he finished 77th, the 30 kilometer race of the Portuguese did not finish. In the summer of 2007 he took part in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepää and was 32nd in the cross-country sprint competition. In 2009 Silva also took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships . At the world championships in Liberec he was 130th of the sprint, over 30 kilometers he did not finish again. He was also the only Portuguese participant in the 2010 Winter Olympics. In the 15-kilometer freestyle, he finished 95th.
