Darius Urbonas

Darius Urbonas (born May 26, 1974 in Kėdainiai ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer and politician , Vice Minister of the Interior since 2017 .

Life

After graduating from high school, Darius Urbonas completed a bachelor's degree in law at the Lietuvos teisės akademija in 2000 and a master's degree in law at the Lietuvos teisės universitetas in Vilnius in 2002 . In December 2007 he did his doctorate on quasi-courts (on the subject of Kvaziteisminių institucijų jurisdikcinė veikla, taikant administracines sankcijas ) at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas .

1994–2002 Darius Urbonas was an inspector and head of a position in the Kaunas City Police Department . 2011-2014 he worked as a lawyer in the law firm "Čerka ir partneriai". From 2014–2016 he was a judge at the Kaunas District Court . 2011-2015 he taught as a lecturer at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas and from 2010 at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . In 2016 he was a consultant at the Policijos departamentas . Since 2017 he has been Vice Minister , Deputy Minister of the Interior Eimutis Misiūnas in the Skvernelis cabinet .

Darius Urbonas is married and has two sons and a daughter.

Darius Urbonas speaks English and Russian.
