Dariusz Dudek (born April 8, 1975 in Knurów , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .
Club career
Dudek's career began in his hometown at Concordia Knurów . About the station Naprzód Rydułtowy , he came in 1998 to the then first division club GKS Katowice . Here he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa . He spent the first half of the 1999/2000 season, albeit with little success, at Widzew Łódź . For the second half of the same season he played again for GKS Katowice. In 2001 he moved to Odra Wodzisław , where he was a regular for two seasons. At the end of 2002 he moved to the top Polish club Legia Warsaw . At Legia, Dariusz Dudek was a regular for the first 2.5 years and an absolute top performer. In the 2004/2005 season Dudek fell into a form low and was deported to the second team Legias. He then moved to the Czech Republic for FC Vítkovice in 2005 . For the next season he returned to Poland to Odra Wodzisław, where he has played since then.
Coaching career
Dudek has only been assistant coach for two teams so far. From December 2009 to June 2010 he was in the service of the first division club Odra Wodzisław Śląski . However, due to the descent, he had to vacate his post. Shortly afterwards he became assistant coach at the second division club Piast Gliwice . In the summer of 2012, the club rose to the Ekstraklasa . During the winter break of 2012/13, he and the head coach Marcin Brosz completed a two-week internship at the Spanish top division and top club Real Madrid .
