The Darr River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Queensland .

geography

River course

The river has its source at the Marita Downs settlement , about 70 kilometers east of Winton and initially flows northeast along the Landsborough Highway to the Darr settlement , about 20 km northwest of Longreach . There it turns its course to the southwest, crosses under the highway and flows into the Thomson River at the settlement Arrialalah , about 50 kilometers southwest of Longreach .
