Daryl Dwight Davis (born March 26, 1958 in Chicago ) is an American R&B and blues musician, author, actor and band leader.

Davis graduated from Howard University with a degree in jazz . He is known for his energetic boogie-woogie style on the piano. Davis played with musicians like Chuck Berry , Jerry Lee Lewis , Bruce Hornsby, and Bill Clinton .

As an African American he wanted to understand racism and through his conversations he got leading Ku Klux Klan members to leave the Klan, which led to its dissolution in Maryland.
