The best is a best-of album by the Berlin band Culcha Candela . It was released on October 17, 2010 on the Universal Music (Urban) label.

The songs selected for the album are largely pre-released singles from the group's four studio albums that have been released to date. With six songs, most of them come from the 2009 album Brave New World . Four tracks each were taken from the album Culcha Candela and the debut album Union Verdadera , while three tracks were taken from the Next Generation record . The three previously unreleased tracks Berlin City Girl , Move It and General are also included in the compilation .
The special edition also includes a half-hour DJ mix and the music video for the song Move It .

The songs on the album were produced by Culcha Candela himself and the Beatgees , among others .

The album cover shows the six band members wearing suits. Itchyban is sitting in an armchair with a book in his hand while the other five stand behind him. The best entered the German album charts at number 18 on November 5, 2010 and was ranked 29, 30 and 43 in the following weeks. Overall, the record stayed in the top 100 for 43 weeks with interruptions. In Austria and Switzerland the album position 20 and 28 respectively and stayed in the charts for five and eight weeks.
As singles , the songs were Move It and Berlin City Girl decoupled. The latter received a gold record for over 150,000 sales in Germany .
Sales figures and awards
For more than 200,000 copies sold, Das Beste was awarded a platinum record in Germany in 2013 .
