The Wheel of Fate (Tarot)

The Wheel of Fortune is one of the also major arcana -called trump cards of the Tarot .

presentation

A wheel is shown in which TORA is usually written. A sphinx sits on the wheel, a snake and a jackal are on the sides of the wheel, the cherubim are depicted in the four corners of the card.

With Haindl, the face of a man is shown above and the face of a woman below. On the wheel you can see a hand bearing a stigma that forms the hub of the wheel. Images that are present on the card: an old man, a turtle, toadstools, a snake, a unicorn, an eye, lightning and water drops.

In the Visconti-Sforza game you see a wheel with four figures, each with a banner. The ribbons read (in Latin): I rule (above), I have ruled (right), I have no kingdom (below), I will rule (left).

interpretation

The card symbolizes being involved in the workings of life, in the wheel of fortune and shows us that no situation prevails forever.
