The Hanged Man is one of the also major arcana -called trump cards of the Tarot .

presentation

The card shows a man hanging upside down on one foot over a precipice. The gallows is formed from two tree trunks and a crossbeam, the free leg is crossed and forms an inverted four with the other. At Crowley, the hanged man is nailed to a wall. At Haindl, the hanged man's hair has grown together with the floor, which looks like a female body.

interpretation

In former times the hanged man was the traitor, Judas the shameful man. Today the card is a symbol of initiation (similar to Odin, who hangs himself on the world ash Yggdrasil for nine days ) and the necessary patience and the ability to see the world from a different perspective .
