The Right To Love is a Brazilian telenovela that was produced in 1987 and 1988.
description
The action begins at the New Year's Eve ball in 1899 . The young Rosalia Medeiros falls in love with the masked young doctor Adriano de Montserrat . However, due to financial hardship, her parents have already promised another man, the unscrupulous banker Francisco de Montserrat . He is allegedly the father of the young doctor Adriano. Now the two lovers are fighting for their happiness when the workers strike for the first time in Rio de Janeiro. The people fight against oppression and social injustice, shoulder to shoulder with the city's intellectuals. By trying to uncover his dark past, Adriano falls out with his father. A fight threatens between them over Rosalia. Together with Rosalia and his fatherly friend Doctor Ramos, Adriano finally succeeds in unraveling a secret that turns his life around.
