Daucus guttatus is a species of carrot ( Daucus ).

features

Daucus guttatus is an annual stem thermophyte that reaches heights of 20 to 60 centimeters. The bracts protrude slightly beyond the umbel rays. The flowers in the middle of the umbels and cones are sometimes sterile and blackish. The secondary rib spines of the partial fruits widen at the base, but they do not flow together significantly. They are twice as long as the partial fruits wide.

The flowering period extends from May to June.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 20.

Occurrence

Daucus guttatus occurs in the eastern Mediterranean . You can find them in Italy, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Greece, Crete, Romania, Bulgaria, Libya, Egypt, on the Sinai Peninsula, in Syria, Israel, Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and Cyprus. In Crete it grows in Phrygana , olive groves, pine forests, gorges, sandy coasts, ruderal sites and fallow land at altitudes from 0 to 1400 meters.
