Dauphin (rocket)
The Dauphin was a single-stage French sounding rocket , six of which were launched between 1967 and 1978. It is a modification of the Dragon launch stage with a larger payload nose cone.
The Dauphin has a diameter of 56 cm and a length of 6.21 m. The take-off mass was approx. 1132 kg, of which 686 kg was fuel. With a starting thrust of 90 kN , a payload of 130 kg should be brought to a peak height of 150 km.
The Dauphin belonged to a family of solid fuel rockets that consisted of the Belier , the Centaure , the Dragon , the Dauphin and the Eridan .
