David Batra
David Chandra Batra (* 1972 in Lund ) is a Swedish stand-up comedian and television actor .
Life
David Batra was born in 1972 to a Swede and a father of Indian origin. He attended Spyken School and then studied at Lund University and Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania . He has a Masters in Marketing.
Batra began performing as a stand-up comedian in 1994. As such, he worked on various comedy formats for the public television company Sveriges Television . Performances in Denmark , Finland , Norway , Spain and the United States followed . He has also worked as a screenwriter.
On August 25, 2009, he released a music CD with "irritating noises for people who want to disturb their neighbors". The CD contains among other things snoring , burping and sex noises.
In 2012 Batra replaced the Norwegian comedian Calle Hellevang-Larsen as a sidekick on the Norwegian talk show I kveld med Ylvis .
Batra is the author of several comedy books as well as a cookbook.
Batra is married to the politician Anna Kinberg Batra , the former leader of the Moderata samlingspartiet .
