David Bielmann

David Bielmann (born June 28, 1984 in Rechthalten ) is a Swiss writer who also writes under the pseudonym Pierre Paillasse.

Life

David Bielmann studied German literature and history at the University of Freiburg from 2004 to 2010 . Since 2008 he has been working as a teacher at various Freiburg secondary schools. He lives in Rechthalten .

For his debut novel escape a dead David Bielmann 2010 was awarded the Literature Prize of the University of Freiburg , the SRF -Literaturkritikerin Luzia Stettler described the novel as "very original, an exciting odyssey".

In 2016, the novel Freedom Bar was awarded the Lesefieber Feder, an independent literary award from book critic Manuela Hofstätter for the book of the year.

Under the pseudonym Pierre Paillasse, David Bielmann wrote various literary texts that take place in the environment of the HC Freiburg Gottéron ice hockey club , including the novels Gastspiel and The Visit of the Russian Woman .
