David Borrelli

David Borrelli (born April 28, 1971 in Treviso ) is an independent Italian politician and former politician of MoVimento 5 Stelle .

Life

Borrelli has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There he was a member of the Conference of Presidents until January 16, 2017. He is a member of the Committee on International Trade , the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy , the Delegation for relations with the Mashrek countries, the Delegation for relations with South Africa and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean area.

Borelli had been co-chair of the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group since July 1, 2014 . After the parliamentary group was temporarily dissolved on October 16, 2014, he was non-attached for four days, and after the parliamentary group was re-established on October 20, 2014, he was co-chairman of the parliamentary group until January 16, 2016. He left the group on February 13, 2018 and has been a non-attached member of the European Parliament since then. On the same day he also left the MoVimento 5 post for "health reasons"

Borelli is a partner of the Rousseau association together with Davide Casaleggio and Max Bugani, the city council in Bologna. On May 5, 2016, Bugnani and Borelli joined the association, which was supposed to promote the development of a digital democracy and which consists only of these three people, whose chairman has been Casaleggio since the death of his father.
