David Caldwell ( David Story "Dave" Caldwell ; born April 27, 1891 in Byfield, Massachusetts ; † January 6, 1953 ibid) was an American middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he was fourth over 800 m .

In 1912 and 1915 he was US runner-up over 880 yards , and in 1915 US indoor champion over 1000 yards.
