David John Court (born March 1, 1944 in Mitcham ) is a retired English football player and football coach .
life and career
Court came to Arsenal as a youth in 1959. The center forward signed a professional contract with the Gunners in January 1962. He made his debut for Arsenal on September 10, 1962 against Aston Villa . After Billy Wright was the new coach of the Gunners, Court was initially repurposed as a right midfielder and later as a right defender. He is one of the few Arsenal players who played all positions except the goalkeeper . Court won the 1970 trade fair trophy with the "Gunners" . In the same year he moved to Luton Town for the transfer fee of £ 30,000 . After only two seasons, he let his career at Brentford end. After he retired, Court still worked in business . Since 1996 he has been assistant to the youth management at Arsenal FC.
