David Anthony Currie, Baron Currie of Marylebone (born December 9, 1946 ) has been Chairman of Ofcom since 2002 .

Currie was Director of the Center of Economic Forecasting from 1988 to 1995 and Professor of Economics at the London Business School from 1988 to 2000 . From 2002 Currie Dean was the Cass Business School in London and stepped down in May 2007.

On October 1, 1996, he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Currie of Marylebone , of Marylebone in the City of Westminster, and has been a member of the House of Lords ever since . On January 30, 2012, he received an honorary doctorate from City University London .
