David Dietl

David Lester Dietl (born November 7, 1979 in Los Angeles ) is a German director and screenwriter .

Life

Dietl is the son of the German film and television director Helmut Dietl and Marianne Dennler, the secretary and confidante of Bernd Eichinger . He spent his childhood mainly in Los Angeles, Paris and Munich . From 2001 Dietl studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. In 2007 he shot the documentary film Be on the safe side for the ZDF series Das kleine Fernsehspiel . . Also in 2007, the omnibus film GG 19 - Germany premiered in 19 articles , for which Dietl had written and directed an episode. Dietl made his cinema debut in 2013 with the film King of Germany .
