David Hugo Schmitz

David Johannes Hugo Schmitz (born August 6, 1993 in Cologne ) is a German actor .

Life, education

His grandmother was the theater actress Hannelore Lübeck . As a child and in his youth he played soccer at Fortuna Cologne and was discovered for the TV series Die Torpiraten . Later he also played for TSV Germania Windeck, among others .

David Hugo Schmitz took acting lessons and attended theater workshops during his school career. In 2013 he passed his Abitur in Cologne. Between 2014 and 2015 he played the main roles in three cinema productions (Bad Trip, Hey, Radio Heimat) and in 2016 he realized his first directorial work with "Nino", in which he also wrote the screenplay and took on one of the main roles. David Hugo Schmitz has been attending the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University in the field of acting since 2016 .
