David Jans

David Jans (born January 21, 1968 ) is a Swiss journalist and television presenter . He became known as host of the former science program People Science Technology of the Swiss television . Today he is an editor and presenter for the business magazine ECO on SRF 1 .

Jans studied Italian history and literature. He took his first steps in journalism at the Associated Press and the Tessiner Zeitung . He did a two-year internship in the business editorial department of the Swiss Political Correspondence (SPK) news agency , where he then stayed for another two years as business editor . In 1993 he came to television: together with others he set up the business magazine “ Cash-TV ” for Ringier . In 1995 he moved to the editorial team of the Tagesschau , where he also moderated the noon and 6 p.m. editions. After leaving Tagesschau in 2001, David Jans worked at Rundschau for half a year before moving to Menschen Technik Wissenschaft (MTW). In 2007 MTW was discontinued in favor of the follow-up program Einstein . Jans then became a member of the editorial board of the newly founded business magazine ECO.
