David Lindgren (born April 28, 1982 in Skellefteå ) is a Swedish singer and presenter . He was best known for his participation in the Melodifestival , the Swedish preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest .

Career

He gained first notoriety through his participation in the Swedish game show Så ska det låta in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, Lindgren was seen for the first time at the Melodifestival; he reached fourth place. Due to the success of his debut single Shout It Out , Lindgren released the album Get Started in 2012 . This reached number 1 on the album charts. In 2013 he took part in the Melodifestival again and finished eighth. In March 2013 his second album Ignite The Beat was released , which reached number 2 in the charts.

He was a moderator at both Melodifestivalen 2017 and the 2018 edition . In May 2020 he won the Swedish music show Stjärnornas stjärna ahead of Jon Henrik Fjällgren .

Lindgren is married and has had a son since 2011.
