David Montero (born January 16, 1974 in Stuttgart ) is a German football player .

Career

Up to the age of 22 he played a district and district league at TSV Georgii Allianz Stuttgart , before he joined the regional league team TSF Ditzingen at the time. Until 1998 his name was David Petracca. In his active career he has so far played 182 games (16 goals; as of January 8, 2006) in the 2nd Bundesliga and one game in the Bundesliga . From the 2005/2006 season he was employed by the regional division SSV Jahn Regensburg , where he was used in midfield. After Montero had refused on March 16, 2006 to run for the second team of SSV Jahn Regensburg, he was released on March 24, 2006 without notice. The Regensburg Labor Court ruled on December 19, 2006 that the termination was unjustified because it was given without a prior warning. Thus, the contract continued until June 30, 2007. On July 1, 2007 he was signed by the upper division SG Sonnenhof Großaspach. From August 2008 to June 2009, Montero was under contract with the national division TSG Backnang. Most recently, he was active as a player in the 2009/2010 season for the state division club SV Böblingen. In the 2010/2011 season he then took over the Stuttgart district division SC Stammheim as coach. After further positions as a player at Stuttgart amateur clubs, he is currently back at Georgii Allianz.
