David Pullan

David Pullan (* 1962 in Adelaide ) is an Australian actor with character roles in film, television and theater.

life and career

David Pullan, born in Adelaide in the capital of South Australia in 1962 , began his acting career as early as the mid-1970s, when he appeared in plays by renowned authors at Adelaide theaters such as the Royalty Theater, the Arts Theater or the Union Hall .

In 1978 he was hired in Great Britain as a sixteen-year-old for the role of Paul Purwell in the fantasy television miniseries produced by Dorothea Brooking for the BBC , Der Mondschimmel, alongside actors such as James Greene , Sarah Sutton , David Haig and Caroline Goodall .

After studying philosophy and psychology , David Pullan was seen as a versatile character actor in numerous British theaters and in various television films and series during the 1980s and 1990s. He embodied various characters in numerous Shakespeare plays such as Richard III , Macbeth or the comedy Taming of the Shrew . at the Royal Shakespeare Company . He also appeared in the lead role in The Woman in Black in London's West End for 11 months .

In addition, Pullan also played in cinema productions such as Schrei in die Past by director Mike Figgis and in 2001 in Paul Sarossy's directorial debut, the crime drama Mr In-Between .

David Pullan's many television appearances between 1978 and 2011 include the miniseries Mussolini: The Untold Story (1985), the television films The Dirty Dozen Part 3 - The Deadly Mission (1987) or Rosamunde Pilcher - September (1996). He was also seen in episodes of various popular television series such as Screen One (1989), The Return of Shelley (1989), The Bill (1999), Family Affairs (2002), The House That Jack Built (2002) and Law & Order : UK (2011).

In addition, Pullan's work with his voice includes work for radio and TV spots, radio plays (BBC), revoicing (The History Channel), TV documentaries (“Trouble at the Top”), commercial radio idents (Capital Radio) and image films as well as live presentation and award ceremonies.

Since 1998 David Pullan has also been working successfully as a communication trainer in business and marketing. He is a member of the Association for Coaching and Applied Improvisation Network . Pullan lives in South East England .
