David Seidl
David Seidl (* 1971 ) is a German economist. Since 2008 he has been a full professor of business administration, especially organization and management, at the University of Zurich .
Career
From 1991 to 1996 Seidl studied business administration and sociology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, with a year abroad at City University London . After a year as a lecturer at the University of Witten / Herdecke studied Seidl 1996-2000 at the University of Cambridge and was there with a thesis on organizational identity and self-transformation in the context of systems theory to Luhmann doctorate. Seidl conducted research in Munich from 2001 to 2004. In 2004 he also took on a visiting professorship in Munich, where he was preparing for his habilitation . In 2008 Seidl completed his habilitation with the topic “Strategy as Practice” at the Helmut Schmidt University ( Hamburg ).
Until 2014 Seidl was a member of the board of the European Group for Organizational Studies .
Interests
Seidl mentions corporate governance , organizational theory , strategy as practice and strategic consulting as special interests .
