David Sieber

David Sieber (born November 1, 1962 ) is a Swiss journalist .

Career

Sieber got into journalism in 1989 and worked as a foreign and business editor for Südostschweiz . In 1995 he became editor of the Bundeshaus in Bern for this newspaper. Sieber then headed the Switzerland section of the Berner Zeitung . After further training, he worked as a freelance journalist for the Mittelland-Zeitung and Südostschweiz am Sonntag . From 2007 to 2008 Sieber was the federal editor for the newspaper Sonntag .

From 2009 to 2015 he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper Die Südostschweiz . At the end of 2015 he gave up the editorial management at his own request. From March 2016 to September 2018 he was editor-in-chief of the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung published by AZ Medien (including the bz Basel ). In April 2019 he became editor-in-chief of the journal Schweizer Journalist , succeeding Kurt W. Zimmermann .
