David Robert Speedie (born February 20, 1960 in Glenrothes ) is a former Scottish football player .

life and career

Speedie was born in Scotland but raised in England Yorkshire on. He worked as a buddy in an English coal mine before signing a contract with Barnsley FC in 1978 . 1982 after not a single goal as a striker for Barnsley, he signed a contract with Darlington FC . After only two years in Darlington , he moved to Chelsea in 1982 for £ 80,000 . After five relatively successful years with the Blues, he went to Coventry City in 1987 . The sky blues paid £ 750,000 for Speedie. After his career at Coventry City, he played from 1991 to 1994 for a total of seven clubs. The clubs in chronological order: Liverpool FC , Blackburn Rovers , Southampton FC , Birmingham City , West Bromwich Albion , West Ham United and Leicester City . Internationally, Speedie played ten times for the Scottish national football team . The Scot currently works as a player agent.
