David Sun ( Chinese 孫孫 , Pinyin Sūn Dàwèi ; born October 1951 in Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese-American businessman. According to Forbes his assets was 4.9 billion in mid 2019 approximately US dollars .
career
David Sun was born in Taiwan in October 1951 and educated at Tatung University . In 1977 he emigrated to the United States .
In 1987 he founded Tu Kingston Technology with his business partner . Today the company is one of the largest manufacturers of memory modules and memory cards .
The charity he founded in 2001, the David and Diana Sun Foundation, makes contributions to education and health, mainly in Taiwan.
Private
He is married to Diana Sun, has two children and lives in Irvine ( California ).
