David Wallen (born April 30, 1983 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German American football player . Among other things, he played for the Düsseldorf Panthers in the position of linebacker .

Wallen grew up in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt as the son of an American father and a German mother. He began his career as a footballer with the Mönchengladbach Mavericks. From 1997 to 2000 he played there in the youth team. In 2001 and 2002 he played in the youth team of the Düsseldorf Panthers, with whom he became German youth champion in 2002 . He also played for the youth national team in 2002, with which he became vice European champion in the same year (European Junior Championships 2002, Glasgow).

In 2004 he played one season for the men's team of the Mönchengladbach Mavericks, before moving again to the Düsseldorf Panther in 2005.

In 2010 and 2011 he was team captain of the Düsseldorf Panther.

David Wallen has been under contract as a linebacker trainer and defensive coordinator in the youth team of the newly founded Mönchengladbach Wolfpack since 2012.
