David Watson (born September 16, 1988 in Pforzheim ) is a German basketball player.
career
David Watson learned to play basketball at TV Pforzheim (later TB Pforzheim). In 2006 he moved to BG Karlsruhe . There he was able to fight for a few minutes in the basketball league during the 2006/07 season . After relegation he remained loyal to the club and also played for the BG NBBL team. But after he could not assert himself in the first team in the 2008/2009 season, as he had hoped, he moved to the 2. Bundesliga ProB for the SOBA Dragons Rhöndorf for the 2009/2010 season . With this team he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the first year . With an average of 22.5 minutes playing time, he scored 10.9 points per game with an outstanding three-way quota of 47%. After Watson could not prevail in the Pro A as desired , he left the Dragons after relegation in 2011.
Watson switched back to Pro B and got a contract with the BiG Rockets Gotha . Watson celebrated promotion to ProA with Gotha and played for the club until summer 2014. In summer 2014 he returned to Karlsruhe and again joined the BG Karlsruhe in the ProB . After a year, Watson moved to the Artland Dragons (ProB).
In 2016 he retired to the regional league and strengthened the SV Fellbach team .
