David Vines White (born October 27, 1961 in Glasgow ) is an English heraldist and genealogist. He is also a senior herald of the College of Arms in London .

White began his career in heraldry as a graduate of Cambridge University in 1982/83 as President of the Cambridge University Heraldic & Genealogical Society . In 1995 he was appointed Rouge Croix Pursuivant of the College of Arms. He held this position until 2004 when he was appointed Herold was promoted (Somerset Herald).

Since 2010 he has been an honorary genealogist of the Royal Victorian Order .
