Davide Biondini (born January 24, 1983 in Longiano ) is an Italian football player .

Career

In the club

Davide Biondini started his career at AC Cesena . There he made the leap into the first team through various youth teams. He played at Cesena for two years before moving to the second division club Vicenza Calcio in 2003. After two years and relegation to Serie C1 , the midfielder moved to the first division Reggina Calcio . From 2006 Biondini played at Cagliari Calcio . Biondini has been under contract with the Italian first division club CFC Genua since January 2012 .

In the 2012/13 season he played on loan at Atalanta Bergamo . In the winter break of the 2013/14 season he was loaned out to promoted US Sassuolo for six months after he had not really gotten a chance at Genoa again .

In the national team

Davide Biondini took part for the U-21 selection of Italy in the U-21 European Championship 2006 in the Netherlands , where he was only allowed to play in the last group game.

On November 14, 2009 Biondini made his debut under Marcello Lippi in a 0-0 friendly match against the Netherlands in Pescara in the Italian senior team . The midfielder came on for Angelo Palombo in the 70th minute .
