The Ganerbe-Gymnasium Künzelsau is a general high school in the city of Künzelsau . The first documented mentions of the previous schools come from the year 1457 (Realschule Künzelsau) and from the year 1486 ( Latin school Ingelfingen ). The two schools were merged in 1936 and operated as a German secondary school for boys from 1938 . From 1954 the school was being set up as a Progymnasium, in 1961 the Abitur could be passed for the first time . With the move to a new school building on Nagelsberger Hang in 1975, the school was named Ganerbe-Gymnasium in view of Künzelsau's history as a Ganerbschaft . In 2001, an extension to the east of the existing school building was opened.
