Dawn of Destiny is a German power metal band from Bochum that uses elements from Thrash , Gothic and Death Metal . The band has released six studio albums so far.

history

Dawn of Destiny was founded at the end of 2005 and, over time, consolidated their line-up with Tanja Maul ( vocals ), Veith Offenbächer ( guitar ), Jens Faber ( bass ), Dirk Raczkiewicz ( keyboards ) and Ansgar Ludwig ( drums ). Since December 2005 the band has built a reputation as a good and energetic live band and has consolidated this reputation through performances with Sabaton , Custard and Tankard . After numerous discussions with various labels, Axel Thubeauville convinced the band to sign with Shark Records .

After signing the contract, the debut album Begins , recorded in 2006, was released, which was positively received by the press and fans alike. At the beginning of 2008 Dawn of Destiny went on a European tour with House of Lords , which took them to Belgium , the Netherlands and the Prattelner Z7 in Switzerland . The second album Rebellion in Heaven has been available since August 2008, continuing the musical style of the debut and adding new elements. Due to the increasing popularity of the band, Dawn of Destiny was able to support Axxis in late 2008 .

In May 2009 the separation from drummer Ansgar Ludwig was announced. He was succeeded by Patrick Klose. In September 2009 Dawn of Destiny released their third album Human Fragility . After almost five years, singer Tanja Maul left the band due to musical differences. The band reformed with two front women, Jeanette Scherff and Monika Wesely and Boris Frenkel on drums. Due to musical differences, Monika Wesely and Boris Frenkel separated again in 2010.

From September 2010 ex scanner / Everflow drummer Matt Bauer completed the line-up. On May 4, 2012, the fourth album Praying to the World was released.

In 2012 Julio Pablo Da Silva became the band's new drummer. On March 7, 2014, the fifth studio album "FEAR" (Forgotten. Enslaved. Admired. Released.) Was released. Mats Leven and Jon Oliva can also be heard on this concept album, which deals with the fate of a girl sitting in a wheelchair . Shortly after the recordings, drummer Julio Pablo Da Silva decided to focus on his other projects like dark blue . Philipp Bock was his successor. With his support, the band played with Xandria in the Netherlands, Hungary and Slovakia in 2014 .

At the beginning of 2015, the band announced the departure of Veith Offenbächer on their homepage. Felix Rodermund was announced as a replacement in the same year. In October 2015, the band's sixth studio album, To Hell, was released .
