Daye ( Chinese 大冶 市 , Pinyin Dàyě Shì ) is an independent city in the Chinese province of Hubei . It is administratively subordinate to the prefecture-level city of Huangshi and administers an area of 1566 km². At the end of 2012 it had around 950,000 inhabitants.
The 2000 census showed a total population of 873,859 inhabitants in 220,921 households, of which 460,417 men and 413,442 women.
Administrative structure
As of the end of 2018, Daye was composed of five street districts , ten large municipalities and one municipality at the municipality level . These are:
- Street districts Dongyue Lu (东岳 路 街道), Dongfeng Lu (东风 路 街道), Jinhu (金湖 街道), Luojia Qiao (罗 家 桥 街道), Jinshan (金山 街道)
- Large communities Jinniu (金牛 镇), Bao'an (保安 镇), Lingxiang (灵 乡镇), Jinshandian (金山 店镇), Haidiqiao (还 地 桥镇), Yinzu (殷 祖 镇), Liurenba (刘仁 八 镇), Chengui (陈贵 镇), Dajipu (大 箕 铺镇), Wangren (汪仁 镇)
- Mingshan Township (茗 山乡)
