Deadstar Assembly is an American nu metal band from Fort Lauderdale , Florida . However, the band mainly markets itself as an industrial metal band and achieved recognition in the black scene .

Band history

The band was formed by singer and guitarist Dearborn in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ; the existing songs together with Luis Daran - a techno producer - worked out further. The line-up is completed within a short time with “Mubo” (formerly Basic Humans, keyboard) and “The Dro” (bass), as well as high school friends “Jay” (second guitarist) and Gary Norton (drums). After the release of the debut album on the band's own label, "Jay" ended the collaboration and was replaced by "Dreggs".

The band achieved greater fame with a cover version of the real-life song Send Me an Angel . The song is used in MTV's Punk'd series and for the Xbox game Project Gotham Racing 3 . In the further course the band goes on tour - partly with Orgy , The Birthday Massacre and Wednesday 13 - and during this time they put together material for the DVD Dark Hole Sessions - Vol.1 released in 2004 .

In 2006 the band split up due to his behavior from "Mubo", who was replaced by "Skuz". The album Unsaved was released shortly afterwards . The following tour also takes the band to Germany. At the beginning of the recordings of the 2010 album Coat of Arms , the band announced the return of their first keyboardist "Mubo".
