Dean Parisot

Aldo L. "Dean" Parisot (born 1952 in Wilton , Connecticut ) is an American screenwriter , director and film producer .

Life

He made his debut as a director in 1985 with the short film Tom goes to the pub . Three years later he made another short film, The Appointments of Dennis Jennings , for which Parisot won an Oscar in 1989 in the category of best short film . Also in 1988 he wrote his first screenplay for the film Still Life . Until the end of the 1990s, he mainly worked as a director for television. He directed several television films and shot several episodes of various television series. In 1993 he produced some episodes of the Bakersfield PD series , for which he also worked as a director. In 1998 he made his first movie with In Love with Sally , followed by Galaxy Quest a year later. Then he worked again for television and staged around two episodes of the series Monk . With Dick and Jane from 2005, Parisot made his third feature film. Another theatrical production followed in 2013 with RED 2 . It is the sequel to RED - Älter, Härter, Besser from 2010. Since then he has mainly worked as a director for various television series. In 2020, Bill & Ted 3 ( Bill & Ted Face the Music ) was the second sequel to Bill & Ted's crazy journey through time (1989).

Dean Parisot lived with his wife Sally Menke and their children in Los Angeles until her death .
